Appointments

Urgent Appointment

Please call the practice on 01772 201010 and select option 3 from 8am Monday to Friday for a same day appointment (subject to availability).

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Routine Appointment

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • use our online booking system via the link at the top of this page
  • phone us on 01772 201010 and select option 3 from 8am Monday to Friday
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist from Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)

Triage

You will be triaged by a member of our reception team who will ask the reason for the appointment. This is to ensure that you are provided with the best and most appropriate care for your needs. We have a range of Clinicians working for the Practice from General Practitioners, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Physiotherapists, Paramedics, Social Prescribers, Associate Psychological Practitioners, and Health and wellbeing coaches.

The Reception team are aware of which Clinician will be best suited to your needs.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • by video call

Appointments by phone or video call can be more flexible and often result in you getting help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you no longer require your appointment, please ensure that you let us know so that your appointment can be offered to someone else.

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • use the GP online system via the link at the top of this page
  • phone us on 01772 201010 and select option 3 from Monday to Friday from 8am
  • reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

Home visits

Medical problems are better solved using the facilities at the surgery. However if you are unable to leave your home because of illness, please make a request for a home visit before 10am because this is when visits are allocated by the GP. We we may not be able to provide a home visit if it is requested later.

Please provide

  • Name (of the patient)
  • Address/keycode
  • Age
  • Telephone Number
  • A description of the problem so that the Clinician can assess the need for a visit; there might be occasions when the Clinician may call you before the visit.
  • Visits will mainly be provided by our paramedics; you will only see a GP if the GP deems this necessary and you will be unable to request a specific GP.

CPCS (Community Pharmacy)

This service is provided by your local chemist whereby we refer you for any minor ailments that do not require a GP appointment.  This will be your first port of call.

If you are referred to the CPCS, you will be given the pharmacy number and will need to contact them to arrange an appointment, rather than visit than your GP.

Pharmacy First

Did you know that local chemists run a Pharmacy First Scheme (formally the Minor Ailments Scheme) where many pharmaceutical items are available and don't necessarily incur a fee. Your pharmacy can advise you on this.

Advice re dressings and some injections:

If we are unable to provide you with an appointment, may need to seek an appointment at one of the many treatments centres available locally. There is a full list of treatment centres available using the link below.
